35th Anniversary

On the 29th March 2014, Witney Talking News marked 35 years of recording local news for visually impaired people in West Oxfordshire.

Three readers sit ready to record the news flanked on the left by a recording technician and on the right by a listener and his guide dog.

The event was marked by a special magazine edition and articles in the Witney Gazette and Oxford Mail. A lot changed in 35 years as can be seen from the photo below of a recording session in 1979 when WTN was first founded.
