On Thursday 20th June 2019 WTN volunteers were joined at the weekly recording session by MP for Witney, Robert Courts.
Mr Courts read two items which featured in that week’s edition and has subsequently published the following in his newsletter which we reproduce here with his kind permission:
Witney Talking News (WTN) are a wonderful charity providing a free weekly talking news service to local people who are visually impaired, or who otherwise have difficulty holding or reading newspapers.
It was great fun to join the team for a short recording session recently. This is a great service which improves accessibility to such a vital resource – as an MP I don’t know how I would cope without newspapers.
Editions are either posted – free-of-charge – by means of a weekly USB stick loaded with around an hour of news recorded each Thursday evening, or you can listen online
